Poul Hundevad PH41 'Guldhoj' folding stool
Description: 'Guldhoj' (Gold Hill) folding stool - model PH41. Lovely quality and detailing. Rare example in wenge.
Design based on a bronze age stool found in a grave outside Vamdrup in Jutland. Dated to 1300 BC this is the oldest preserved piece of furniture in Scandinavia. The original stool is in the collection of the National Museum of Denmark.

Condition: Great, vintage condition. The wenge is a lovely rich colour with striking grain. The original leather seat has a wonderful patina with signs of wear from use over the years. Original label to the underside of the leather. The leather is also embossed with the Danish Furniture Control stamp.
A lovely rare example of this design in wenge.
