Description: Stunning pair of oak and rattan side tables / benches - model 273.
Designer: Borge Mogensen (1914-72)
Manufacturer: Fredericia Stolefabrik, Denmark - early stamped mark to the underside of the rattan (see photo).
Date: 1950s
Dimensions: Width 69cm; Depth 46cm; Height 35cm
Condition: Great, vintage condition. The oak is a lovely golden colour and structurally strong. The rattan has a wonderful rich patina. One table has a few breaks to the rattan (see photos) but this doesn’t detract from the overall design, and certainly doesn’t worry me.
A fantastic early pair of one of my favourite Borge Mogensen designs..
